Beaucoup d’observateurs pensaient qu’Evan Williams, le P-DG de Twitter profiterait de son passage à la conférence South by Southwest (SXSW - du 12 au16 à Austin) pour présenter un plan pour monétiser l’audience du site . Au lieu de cela, il a présenté un nouveau service, @anywhere ; ce système repose sur framework JavaScript qui permet de créer très facilement des liens directs vers des comptes Twitter.
