Patricia's love of cheese began up a mountain whilst she was skiing in Meribel. She returned to London with a wheel of Beaufort Chalet d'Alpage which she sold from her garden shed graduating to a stall in Camden market a year later. LA FROMAGERIE now comprises two award winning shops and a successful wholesale business along with Patricia's award winning first book ' The Cheese Room The Cheese Room ' to her name. Patricia lives and works with her husband, Danny. She has two daughters, Katy and Rose along with her new grandson Oscar, born Monday 9 August 2010. Patricia's second book entitled CHEESE was published in April 2010 by Jacqui Small.

Users of Chelmsford Square tennis courts in Kensal Rise said that they feared use of the courts would now drop off and attacked the council for ignoring the legacy of the Olympic Games to ‘inspire a generation’. According to players, the courts have been free to use for the past 30 years but this changed when a warden was spotted putting up a sign on the day of the London Olympics closing ceremony informing people that they would now be charged £6-per hour. Maurice O’Neill, who has used the courts for the past few years, said: “There was no kind of consultation, no meeting – nothing whatsoever to tell people that these charges were coming in.
