I invited expert wrapper Corinna vanGerwen to come and share some neon wrapping ideas with us, and they are oh so good! Crafty Friday. This craft project was inspired by something almost identical I saw in a fancy shop here in NYC. It cost almost $500, and I thought to myself, "hey, I can make that". And so I did! Start by printing out butterflies. I found mine online, simply google butterfly prints and millions comes up. Cut them out. Hot-glue or super-glue a small branch to a vintage saucer. They couldn’t be easier to make. Pick up a case of glass votives from your nearest floral wholesaler or local Target. A while back, i came across this falling apart dictionary in the bin of a book giveaway and had a little eureka moment. i'm starting a whole line of prints done on these gorgeously aged pages. this book would have been taking up space in a landfill, and the amazing history on these pages would have been lost. but now, this book is being repurposed into one of a kind pieces of art! You can check out the first of the series over on etsy - august printed on a vintage book page - and there are going to be many more titles to come.
