My parents always said I have to choose a job where I’d be happy to go to everyday. A good work environment can really make a job more fun. Some companies really go the extra mile to make their employees happy. They often do this via a kick-ass office design. Let’s take a look at 15 beautiful workspaces. From our window (or even our roof), we can’t see Russia. Instead, we have to rely on our computer screens, which presently display: 1) 46 rows of a 3,087-row Excel spreadsheet that inventories every building in the "Special Garment Center District”; 2) page 7 of a 2008 economic profile published by the Fashion Center Business Improvement District ; 3) a Google map showing 34th Street to 42nd Street between Fifth and Ninth Avenues; 4) a photograph of a loading dock from yesterday’s visit to the Garment District; and 5) a HBO documentary called Schmatta: Rags to Riches to Rags .

- Posted by admin The Unique the Palmyra house designed by Studio Mumbai Architects has been shortlisted for the 2010 Aga Khan Award for Architecturein Nandgaon, this lovely house is located in Maharashtra, India. The house has two main buildings which have function for as a weekend retreat, lies in the shade of an extensive coconut grove on coastal agricultural land facing the sea, near the fishing village of Nandgaon, south of Mumbai. The concept of the house is back to nature.The structure is made of ain wood; local basalt was used to make boundary walls, plinths and paving. Plaster finishes were pigmented with sand from the site.
November 17th 2011 until Spring 2012 This latest installation will transform the Materials & Applications courtyard through a collaboration between Los Angeles architects Doris Sung, Ingalill Wahlroos-Ritter and structural engineer Matthew Melnyk. A 20 foot tall shiny metal 'flower' who's skin will open and close with the heat of the sun and provide a unique and exciting experience for the thousands of visitors to this unique art laboratory.
