INSA x Stanley Donwood x Atoms for Peace “Hollywood Dooom” INSA gives us another example of his GIF-ITTI, collaborating with artist Stanley Donwood to celebrate the release of supergroup Atoms For Peace’s debut album, AMOK.
INSA interpreted Donwood’s album artwork on the exterior of XL Recordings office in Los Angeles, taking a whole week to paint and document each layer for the desired piece of internet-based art. The apocalyptic view of Los Angeles was achieved by a process of ‘paint, photograph, repeat’ until the whole scene is played out and the end result is pretty freakin’ awesome.
