Energy (esotericism) Morphogenetic field. This article is about the concept in developmental biology.

Morphogenetic field

For Rupert Sheldrake's concept of the same name, see the bibliography in his article. A.G.Gurwitsch analysed the embryonic development of the sea-urchin as a vector-field, as if the proliferation of cells into organs were brought about by putative external forces. Orgone. Orgone energy accumulator (with door closed) (with door open) Alternating layers of organic and non-organic materials inside the walls supposedly increase the orgone concentration inside the enclosure relative to the surrounding environment.

Rupert Sheldrake. Morphogenesis. Morphogenesis (from the Greek morphê shape and genesis creation, literally, "beginning of the shape") is the biological process that causes an organism to develop its shape.

Morphogenesis

It is one of three fundamental aspects of developmental biology along with the control of cell growth and cellular differentiation. Morphogenetic responses may be induced in organisms by hormones, by environmental chemicals ranging from substances produced by other organisms to toxic chemicals or radionuclides released as pollutants, and other plants, or by mechanical stresses induced by spatial patterning of the cells. History[edit] The term histomorphogenesis was coined by Ricqlès et al. (2001) for the same process in bone histology.[4] Molecular basis[edit]
