Cheri Hat. Koala Bear Amigurumi | Free Pattern &Tutorial at CraftPassion.com - StumbleUpon. I found a Koala Amigurumi Pattern in the Woman’s Day website and I have some off-white and gray organic cotton yarns on hand, so I made a pair of these small little stuffed koalas for my kids in reverse color. Some ideas to make it differently: 1. This adorable little koala is about 3-5″ tall only (depend on your yarn and the matching hook size), install a key ring on it’s head and turn it into a key chain, hang it to the bag’s zipper. 2. If we sew the limbs closer to the center of the body and insert 4 small strong magnets to the tip of each limb, you can make it “huggy” and hug on a tree branch or at the edge of your curtain or your pencil, ruler etc… 3. And, and…. instead of poly-fills, stuff beads into the body to weight it down and with the magnets of it limbs, it can be a cute memo holder on your desk too 4.

Use a chunkier yarn and bigger hook, crochet a giant version to become a soft toy. Sew to attach the nose in the center between the 2 ears. Get all updates via email: Spring 2011. Dc/treble: this refers to the same stitch.

The book writing also means I may not have time to help with any crochet-y questions/problems. Please try a Google search (or your search engine of choice). If you are really-really-really stuck you're welcome to email me, but it may take me some time to get back to you. There are loads of methods of joining (granny) squares, my method is just one, and may not even be the best. If you have particular layout for your blanket in mind, lay out your squares in that pattern. Then stack your squares so you can keep track of what goes where.

Next make 3 dc/trebles in the next space in the yellow square. Dan's Minimalist Scarf pattern by Cathy Dipierro. Louie's Loops: Taking Crocheting to the Future. So I'm somewhat, okay a lot of, a nerd. For those of you who arn't or maybe didn't know, there's a little convention called Comic Con, and last Thursday through Sunday all the lucky people of New York had their 6th annual Comic Con. Unluckily for me I live in California, and I'm also broke :) but to commemorate this event and kinda commemorate Halloween, which is just around the corner, I decided to make a nerd based crocheted item (the first of many more). For those of you who don't know, this is known as a Brain Slug from the show Futurama. It attaches to someone's (or something's) head and controls them, kinda making them into a zombie like state. Any how, you can see a video of the episode with these guys here.

Art of Crochet by Teresa - Slinky Crochet Flower. Crochet Swirls (Tutorial) « Crafts. (Update: To see more of my patterns, please visit my ONLINE SHOP!) This is a little crochet swirl. You might have seen me using it in this project. And since I gave you a pinky swear promising I’d show you how it’s done, here it is. But before I start, I’d just like to let you know that I am no crochet guru. Not by a long shot. Which in short means that I really hope the following sentences make at least some sense.

Here’s what you need. Two yarns of different color – the bulkier the yarn the bulkier the swirl. You also need one hook that will work well with your yarns, a needle and a pair of scissors. Let’s pretend that is not a hair cutting scissors. Please. The whole swirl has only four rows. 1. 2. 3. 4. Finish off. You have just created a funny curly strip. Now twist the strip into a nice shape. Using a needle and some yarn, sew some stitches in the middle and along the edges only to fixate the whole swirl. I made only three stitches and that was it.

I LOVE this beanie because it stitches up quickly and adds a great texture to the average beanie. The pattern here is for a 0-3 months size and a child size (3-10 years), but I hope to add in the other sizes when I find a moment.

Please let me know if something doesn't work up right. As always, I would love to see pics of final creations!
