Definitions and Models. The definition of blended learning is a formal education program in which a student learns: at least in part through online learning, with some element of student control over time, place, path, and/or pace;at least in part in a supervised brick-and-mortar location away from home;and the modalities along each student’s learning path within a course or subject are connected to provide an integrated learning experience.

COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE. It's also possible for groups of people to work together in ways that seem pretty stupid, and I think collective stupidity is just as possible as collective intelligence.

COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE

Part of what I want to understand and part of what the people I'm working with want to understand is what are the conditions that lead to collective intelligence rather than collective stupidity. But in whatever form, either intelligence or stupidity, this collective behavior has existed for a long time. What's new, though, is a new kind of collective intelligence enabled by the Internet.

Think of Google, for instance, where millions of people all over the world create web pages, and link those web pages to each other.
