it may come as a surprise to some of you that i actually enjoy some dj music, not a whole lot mind you, but i do really enjoy it, when its done well. i like artists/dj's that make records that can transform you to another place, time, etc. like youre walking through history, in a sort of way - see the avalanches since i left you . that may sound odd, but thats how it makes me feel. either way, one particular dj i really dig is blockhead who happens to have a new record coming out on 4.30.12 [...] It's been a little while since we've heard anything out of the Polyphonic Spree . June marks five years since the Dallas collective's last release, The Fragile Army , and if you've felt a little less sunshine in your life during that time now you know why. Tim DeLaughter's large, robed band often numbers over two dozen members, and spent much of the oughts decade bringing unironic, uncynical, impassioned musical joy to the world during a time it could hardly have been more needed.

Daniel Dexter « Who Knows Motor City » Un swing imparable désigné par Daniel Dexter depuis Berlin à la poursuite de la légende industrieuse. « Who Knows Motor City », hymne house par excellence, paraît en éclaireur de cette sortie du Poker Flat de Steve Bug : Compilation « Gunslingers & Greenhorns ». Esprit zazou, synthé démoniaque, Detroit héritage !
