What do our fellow bloggers, writers, and online friends eat, first thing in the morning? We are asking some friends to share their favorite morning nourishment with us. I will cook and eat it too, and bring you their thoughts on what to eat first thing in the morning.
Try this milkshake recipe from McCormick® which, according to a McDonald's spokeswoman , is strikingly similar to what you'll get at the golden arches. Check out our boozy version of the shamrock shake >> Emerald mint milkshake recipe Makes 3 servings Ingredients: 1 pint (2 cups) vanilla ice cream 1 cup milk 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Peppermint Extract 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Green Food Color Whipped cream and green sprinkles (optional)
With a Kiss… or with a Rolo, take your pick! Seriously, dessert doesn’t get any easier than this! This definitely has got to be one of my easiest recipes yet, and cutest =). They can be made in 5 minutes or less and they taste just like a S’more, or upgraded S’more if you use Rolo’s.
I love figuring out new traditions to make with my own little family. I definitely found one for General Conference on Sunday morning. My sis-in-law (SIL) Dana was telling me about how often she goes to my friend Hannah's blog and tries out her recipes. She was telling me about all the yummy ones she has tried, including the sticky bun breakfast ring and told me I had to try it. So I decided this morning was the best time to make them while I had the LDS General Conference playing in the background. Let me just say WOW!
Cinnamon Sugar Doughnuts Look at that photo. Is your mouth watering yet?
These aren't anything complicated. With five ingredients, they take only a few minutes to put together. In fact, these were probably the least time-intensive food at my Cheesecake Extravaganza . Yet, I had more than a few people come up and proclaim their love for the finger food. You don't have to throw a cheesecake party to serve these....I imagine they'd be welcomed just about anytime! Another great party food, these can be made ahead of time.
Anyone out there remember Dannon Frozen Yogurt Pops from back in the 80′s? Or was it the 70′s? I think I am starting to date myself. Anyway, I used to love those frozen treats. They were different from anything else in the ice cream aisle.
The frozen banana bites I posted yesterday turned out to be a big hit on pinterest . Yeah for that! But as I mentioned in that post, I wasn't completely happy with the peanutbutter flavour. So I made another batch. This time I used Biscoff (speculoos) spread. And added some nougatine, which are little tiny caramalized nuts.
These muffins are quite possibly the best thing I’ve ever eaten!… Did I really just say that? Yes, I did!
My Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls Ok, guys. HERE IT IS!
Here it is…another installment of Jillee’s Favorite Frozen Treats! Everytime I see an idea for a new frozen treat idea…I can hardly WAIT to try it! This one was NO exception!

As far as reentry* points to on-a-whim cooking go, these cookies aren’t the most obvious choice. I might have gone with something from the market, or something from a new fall cookbook or maybe just something practical that would feed us for the next few days, like a hearty stew. Instead I went with cute. Like, unseemly cute.
Yesterday was busy with swimming, BBQing, and relaxing. My Laundry Monday turned into Laundry Tuesday topped with an additional load of damp swimming towels. Being the good parents we are we counted swimming as baths for the kids and sent them to bed smelling of sunblock. Then as I snuggled on the couch to write a post about these cookies I brought to our BBQ I just…could not…keep…my eyes…open. * Snooze *
