08 Décembre 2008 HEC Paris lance la Chaire « Social Business / Entreprise et Pauvreté » avec le soutien de Danone HEC et Danone ont lancé la Chaire Social Business / Entreprise et Pauvreté, co-présidée par le professeur Muhammad Yunus, économiste et entrepreneur bangladais, prix Nobel de la Paix et fondateur de la Grameen Bank au Bangladesh, également Professeur Honoris Causa d'HEC depuis 2005 et Martin Hirsch, Haut Commissaire aux Solidarités Actives contre la pauvreté, ancien président d'Emmaüs France. Une conférence-débat, sur le thème : « Crise financière et pauvreté : vers un nouveau capitalisme ? » a officialisé ce lancement, en présence de Muhammad Yunus, Martin Hirsch, Franck Riboud, Président de Danone ; Emmanuel Faber, Directeur Général Délégué de Danone ; Georges Pauget, Président de la Fédération Bancaire ; Bernard Ramanantsoa, Directeur Général d'HEC et Frédéric Dalsace, Professeur associé de Marketing à HEC et titulaire de la Chaire.
