Mathematical Content This task asks students to select and apply mathematical content from across the grades, including the content standards: 7.RP Ratios and Proportional Relationships Note: These references are provisional: we are still developing our critera for consistently linking individual tasks to the CCSS. MAP Assessment Task Types Novice Short items focused on specific content or skills. The task types indicate the breadth and depth of CCSS mathematical practices assessed by the task. Note: these task types offer a guide as to how tasks relate to the mathematical practices. Note: please bear in mind that these prototype materials need some further trialing before inclusion in a high-stakes test.

Performance-Based Assessments in Mathematics - The Grapevine Network

Participants constructed resources centered on performance assessments and tasks aligned to the Common Core State Standards in Mathematics during this year-long pilot. Below you will find both general and grade-specific resources which can be used by all, regardless of whether you participated in the pilot. If your school is new to this work and you would like to try the tasks out with your students please read the Introduction to Standards-Based Assessment and Instruction, attached below. After reading this introduction you will be able to try out the tasks which are located in the folders below, by grade. The tasks were carefully selected and are aligned to the Everyday Mathematics units.

Each task comes with a Preliminary Planning Sheet containing the following: Mathematical Language. PALM - Task Home. NOYCE FOUNDATION: Math - Resources.
