Fine-Tuning Your Acting Performance on Film. Acting in film and television can require a special set of acting skills.

Fine-Tuning Your Acting Performance on Film

Film and television can show anything from two normal people eating a normal lunch to microscopic people swimming through someone's arteries, and as an actor, you need to be prepared for how different genres of film and television affect how you act out your role. Acting for the camera In film and television acting, you often don't have the luxury of a live audience giving you feedback of any kind. Instead of a theater full of people, your audience is just a camera, the camera operator, the director, and any sound, light, and makeup technicians who happen to be standing around at the time. This means that you need to use your imagination and pretend that the cameraman staring at you is actually your long-lost lover, or that the stern look on the director's face is actually the friendly face of your best friend. Puppet Training and Ministry Tips. 3 Things To Avoid In Your Puppet Presentations – Part 2 The last post talked about the first of three things to avoid during your puppet presentation.

This happens for a couple of reasons. The Human Arm and HandsHuman arm puppets are good to use and see, but the audience shouldn’t see an actual human arm or hand. During practices continue to focus on what each puppeteer should do to maintain quality in your programs, but don’t overlook these three things they shouldn’t do. 3 Things To Avoid In Your Puppet Presentations – Part 1 If you find yourself in this situation, don’t just pop the puppet up because that’ll draw attention to it.

History of Puppets

While today they are widely considered to be entertainments for children, more and more people are discovering that puppets have always held a place in entertainment for all ages. By taking a look at the history of puppets, you'll be able to see that the contribution of puppets and puppeteers to the arts has been inestimable. While it is impossible to be certain, puppetry had its birthplace in India, almost a thousand years B.C. From this era, you can find stick puppets that were used to play out the Indian epics like the Maha-Bharata and the Bala-Ramayana.

While these puppet shows described very sacred and beloved texts, there was still a very real element of entertainment in them. There are many reasons why the use of puppets might develop. In Europe, puppets were no less popular. Experience Puppets: Free Puppet Scripts. This script can be used as a puppet play or drama skit.
