Our newest favorite? Kodama Zomes, which we discovered at this year’s Dwell on Design. These hanging geodesic domes are part love seat, part bed, and part private space, equalling the perfect place to relax and enjoy the outdoors with your loved ones. The suspended Zomes were designed by licensed structural engineer Richie Duncan with the latest 3D engineering software, letting you gently sway towards ultimate relaxation. Each Kodama Zome has a powder coated steel structure, outdoor grade polyester webbing, marine grade 316 stainless steel hardware, custom mattress and cushions, and a storage cover. They also offer a lot of extras like, hanging accessories, a freestanding stand, waterproof outdoor covers, etc. Motorized Self Making Bed. The Dutch artist can turn a clear sky cloudy — indoors. In his latest project, he’s installed real Nimbus clouds in empty gallery spaces in Amsterdam. “Nimbus” (Berndnaut Smilde - Courtesy of the artist) Smilde’s godlike powers come from simple science — he carefully regulates the temperature and humidity of the space, ensuring that conditions are perfect. “I’m interested in the ephemeral aspect of the work,” Smilde said in an e-mail. Smilde’s clouds dissipate so quickly that they exist mainly in photographs. “Nimbus II” (Berndnaut Smilde - Courtesy of the artist) “I wanted to make a very clear image, an almost cliché and cartoon like visualisation of having bad luck,” writes Smilde in his artist’s statement. However, the rare audience that got to see Smilde’s work in person — captured on video for a Dutch Web site, below — was all smiles.

Deux amis construisent un bar flottant pour l'été. 106Mardi 26 novembre 2013 dans Art Aiolia est un bar flottant qu'on construit deux étudiants allemands de la ville de Weingarten pour leur projet d'étude à l'école.
Ils avaient comme obligation de tout construire eux même sans matériaux polluants et avec un système ingénieux. Ce bar flottant repose sur une grosse bouée gonflable, il peut accueillir un maximum de 8 personnes et utilise l'eau du lac pour refroidir les boissons qui sont remonté grâce à un système de poulie. Un parasol a été placé au centre du bar et des cale-pieds ont été installés pour une meilleure assisse. Ils ont également pris des disposition contre les animaux (en particulier les canards) qui les empêchent d'entrer dans le bar flottant et de le salir.
