The ‘author’ of the ‘Sandwich Books’ is the young Polish freelance photographer, illustrator and graphic designer, Pawel Piotrowski. The first hint of an idea for the project came from Piotrowski’s study days, when a former teacher of his, told his class to create a book. Piotrowski wanted to make something unusual, something that would attract people’s attention due to an unusual shape. One morning, during breakfast with his girlfriend, he suddenly had the idea for the ‘Sandwich Book’, an idea to encourage people to think about the book in a different way than before.
