H-Farm. Code of ethics for professional designers. Paris (France) - In September 2012, the Alliance française des designers (AFD) published a code of ethics for professional designers that has recently been translated into English.
The document was partially based on the 'Code of Professional Ethics' published by the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (Icsid) and other sources stemming from its International Design Alliance (IDA) partners: Icograda and IFI. The code consists of 37 articles divided into five sections: The Profession of a Designer and their ObligationsThe Practice of the Design ProfessionThe Professional Environment of a DesignerThe Way of Exercising the Design Profession Wage Rules ImplementationThe goal of this code is to help unify practicing designers and will prove to be a valuable resource to young designers and design students.
