Luckyloberg: Anyone missing a chair? Ar... Gallery. About us. About us Established in 1993 in downtown San Francisco, 111 Minna Gallery is in the business of Art and Leisure. The gallery showcases a unique blend of local and international artists, world class DJ’s, live performance, and film screenings in an elegantly urban and ever-changing 4,000 square foot space. The gallery is open to the public and nightly on a rotating schedule for special events. The space at 111 Minna Gallery evokes the dramatic effect of an urban industrial warehouse with 16 feet high walls, floor to ceiling windows facing out on 2nd Street, exposed piping overhead and original hardwood floors. 111 Minna Gallery transforms itself every 4 weeks with rotating exhibitions of contemporary art, providing an ever-changing, dynamic atmosphere.

You can find 111 Minna gallery of downtown San Francisco, walking distance from the Moscone Center, Yerba Buena Gardens, SFMOMA and the Embarcadero. Click here for directions. Nude, Green Leaves and Bust. Nude, Green Leaves and Bust (French: Nu au Plateau de Sculpteur) is a 1932 painting by Pablo Picasso, featuring his mistress Marie-Thérèse Walter. The painting was in the personal collection of Los Angeles art collectors Sidney and Frances Brody for nearly six decades. It sold at auction for US$106.5 million, the third highest world record price for a piece of art work sold at auction.[1] It is currently on show at Tate Modern in London, alongside other Picasso paintings from the gallery's own collection. Background[edit] Nude, Green Leaves and Bust is one of a series of portraits that Picasso painted of his mistress and muse Marie-Thérèse Walter from 1932.

The vibrant blue and lilac canvas is more than 5 feet (1.5 m) tall. From there it was bought by the Brodys in 1951, and was publicly exhibited only once in 1961 to commemorate Picasso's 80th birthday.[2][3] Auction[edit] Frances Brody died in November 2009.
