Tutorial: Homemade Sidewalk Chalk | oh my! handmade goodness
This project comes to you at the request of Twitterer @GCcapitalM. I used to believe that a person could never have too many books, or too many bookmarks. Then I moved into an apartment slightly larger than some people’s closets (and much smaller than many people’s garages) and all these beliefs got turned on their naïeve little heads. But what a person can always look for more of is really cool unique bookmarks.

Make Your Own Silhouettes | Art Projects | Homemade Mother's Day Gift
Have you noticed that silhouettes are all the rage these days? I see them in magazines, on blogs, books, and the TV. I’ve priced them out a few times, only to be disappointed by how costly they can be. In kindergarten, I vaguely remember my teacher shining a light at us while we stood by a wall with a big piece of white paper taped on it.How to make gift bags from newspaper | How About Orange
When I bought something at a store recently, the clerk handed me my purchase in a bag made from a newspaper. I liked it very much and had to make some more—thus today's DIY recycled newspaper project: gift bags made from the Wall Street Journal. You can vary the dimensions, of course, but here's what I used to create a bag that's 5" tall, 4.5" wide, and 3" deep. Stack two sheets of newspaper on top of each other.Mismatched Chair Bench | Decor Hacks
To heck with YouTube and Farmville; my new favorite online timesucker is Pinterest! I could spend hours surfing around that site because it’s chock full of amazing things like this bench from Kindall’s Creations that is made from three mismatched chairs. She found the chairs at thift stores, paying between $2 and $6 each. Her bench has a cheerful, farmhouse-y look to it, but you could give this a totally different attitude with different combinations of paint and fabric. I like a modern look, so I would paint the chairs in a glossy black finish and cover the seat with black and white tapestry in a bold, graphic print. For a beach cottage feel, you could paint the chairs in a distressed white finish and use a nice light blue damask for the seat.Paper Flowers - Anyone Can Do That | FindInspirations.com

Mason Jar Key Hook
Hi there! It’s felt like forever since I’ve last blogged, and has felt like an eternity since I’ve done anything crafty and nifty. Since my morning sickness has gone into full speed (yes, we’re expecting our third this fall!) I haven’t felt like myself. But nothing like inspiration to wake one out of a reverie — or nightmare, in my constantly sick state. I came across these DIY Pantone chip magnets on How About Orange and wanted to do something similar.
