How is the data presented?* Skills and certifications pay in the ITSCPI is displayed as a percent of base pay, a normative view that is also the most common form in which they are paid. We display three data points for each skill or certification: 10th percentile; 50th percentile (median); 90th percentile. What is IT skills and certification pay? It is common practice today for employers to isolate, recognize and reward experience in a variety of technical skills. Incorporating skills premiums in base pay is the most popular option today. In an ideal world you would simply change the persons job title to reflect the skill specializations. Are there other uses for skills pay? Then, when you saw Windows 8 coming, you vowed to never again get caught with an experimental operating system and decided to stick it out with Windows 7? If so, chances are you're glad that you did so. Windows 7 has served you well, and you continued to be productive, while all those who upgraded to Windows 8 struggled with the Metro UI and its touch-based implementation on a desktop PC.
