Write Your Name in Runes Write Your Name in Runes The runic alphabet, or Futhark, gets its name from its first six letters (f, u, th, a, r, k), much like the word "alphabet" derives from the first two letters of the Greek alphabet, alpha and beta. Each rune not only represents a phonetic sound but also has its own distinct meaning often connected with Norse mythology. Scholars believe that early Germanic and Scandinavian peoples used the runes originally as a means of communication and only later for magical purposes. Fehu Fehu can mean cattle, gold, or wealth in general.
Daily Reading to Learn Tarot While almost asleep last night, I came up with a simple 3 card spread to help me learn the Tarot deeper (which, as we know, is a continual - if not life-long - process!) Traditionally, when trying to delve deeper into the Tarot it's suggested that you do a daily reading with either a single card or a ppf spread. Drawn randomly, it has occured to me that it would take "forever" before each of the cards would be read in any one position (the scientific half of my brain spins at the thought of the statistical improbablity)... So, I'm pretty sure that this spread is a result of me being a bit impatient for each card to 'randomly' fall into place (and maybe a bit of a result of how brilliant I am right before I fall asleep! <hee hee>) For this spread, I've divided the deck into Majors, Minors, and Court cards.

Sacred Centers - The Chakras Portal - Pathways for Personal and The Chakra System originated within the yoga traditions of India, most specifically the Tantric period, circa 500 – 1000 AD. Therefore, yoga is an ideally designed practice to not only train your mind and body, but to access your chakras. The word yoga means yoke or union, and one can see how the chakra system represents the structural aspect of that yoke — the means through which mind and body, mortal and divine, connect.
