Honestly, you don’t have to have a super-expensive camera to get some really great photos for your blog or Etsy shop. When I first opened my shop, I used a Kodak EasyShare point-and-shoot camera with great success. For a long time, I used a Fuji FinePix camera I bought at Walmart. With the proper lighting and settings, that camera took excellent pictures. 2. Lots of items sold on Etsy are small enough that using the ‘macro’ setting on your camera is the best option. 3. If possible, grab your items, background material(s), props and handmade items and head outside on a nice day. 4. Check out various Etsy shops and you’re sure to find that many times, sellers use props in their photos. 5. A great photo has a great background. 6. A Chore System for My Kids That Actually Works: When I only had one child and all her toys fit in a laundry basket, keeping the house clean was pretty easy. Now I have two kids that have way too much stuff, one house that is way too small and not nearly enough time to deal with working, parenting, chauffeuring, cooking AND housekeeping. My solution? Put the kids to work! Well, that was the idea but it mostly amounted to me asking them to do various things around the house and them complaining and/or procrastinating and generally resisting anything resembling a chore. After a few nonstarters with charts and stickers and such, I almost gave up. I gave it a lot of thought and concluded that my eldest, almost eleven, always responds best to bribery a rewards system. My then-five year old..well, he was five—I didn’t expect a whole lot from him but I figured I better get him used to doing his share and teach him to embrace the joy of earning your own money *snort* This is what I did… While they decorated, I created a chore sheet in Excel. The following acronym, STOP, will help remind you how to respond -- rather than react -- to your child's whining: Slow down your reaction time. Take responsibility for your end of the equation. Fears can therefore be unlearned by practicing self discipline repeatedly with regard to fear until it goes away. The most common fears that we experience, which often sabotage all hope for success, are the fears of failure, poverty, and loss of money. These fears cause people to avoid risk of any kind and to reject opportunity when it is presented to them. There are many other fears that interfere with our happiness. as well. Fear Paralyzes Action The most common reaction in a fear situation is the attitude of, “I can’t!” These are all physical manifestations of the inhibitive negative habit pattern, which we all experience from time to time. Visualize Yourself as Unafraid By visualizing yourself performing with confidence and competence in an area where you are fearful, your visual image will eventually be accepted by your subconscious mind as instructions for your performance.
