Replacing windows – step by step

Remove the old window
01 Start by removing the window lining both inside and outside. Sawing off nails or frame screws between frame and wall. Loosen the wedges and lift out the frame.

Check that the opening in the wall is about 20 mm larger than the outer dimensions of the frame on the new windows.

Tip! By sawing in the frame and taking it out in pieces, you minimize the risk of damaging the window sash. Clean the window opening and check that the wood in the wall is healthy. If necessary, replace rotten wood.
