Networked learning is a process of developing and maintaining connections with people and information, and communicating in such a way so as to support one another's learning . The central term in this definition is connections. It takes a relational stance in which learning takes place both in relation to others and in relation to learning resources. [ 1 ] CSALT , a research group at Lancaster University, UK, associated with the Networked Learning Conference series and several edited collections, has defined networked learning as "learning in which information and communication technology is used to promote connections: between one learner and other learners, between learners and tutors; between a learning community and its learning resources." [ 2 ] Salmon (2001) wrote "learning is built around learning communities & interaction, extending access beyond the bounds of time and space, but offering the promise of efficiency and widening access.

Prompted by Derek's recent post I downloaded the latest version of Flock to have a play with. Its come a long way since I first looked at it, at the start of the PLE project, and its interesting to see how both the prototype work on Plex has followed a similar approach to Flock - perhaps a validation of our using a pattern-based approach? In this Flickr photoset (or use this tag instead ) I've compared some of the ways Flock and Plex handle the management of web services using a very similar model. (I've written comments on each screenshot) Not all patterns are implemented in both applications: for example, Plex has no notion of notifications (nor a photo manager), while Flock has no concept of rating resources.

Il a été initialement discuté en 2001 par Bill Olivier et Lieber Oleg [ 1 ] qui considéraient l'e-learning comme non adaptés à tous les besoin des étudiants. L’année 2009 a été marquée par la popularité du service de « micro-blogging » Twitter . Ce service, qui permet de partager de l’information avec un maximum de 140 caractères, reste un mystère pour bien des gens. Mais il faut comprendre que Twitter, c’est tout un phénomène et qu’il est difficile de résumer ce service en quelques lignes. Sur Twitter, les messages se nomme des « tweets », que l’on peut traduire par gazouillis. J’ai eu la chance de suivre ce projet au travers de mes discussions avec Steli et j’ai vu son rêve prendre forme…je lui tire mon chapeau devant tant de détermination et d’énergie pour faire aboutir ce projet !
