Yesterday as we were recovering from a wonderful Shavous holiday weekend, we made some melted hama (perler) bead bowls! You see, a good friend who stayed with us for the holiday just couldn't resist mopping my floors and doing some general cleaning, so when she suggested that maybe the kids could do a project, I most certainly had to step up to the plate! (I'm more than happy to trade crafting for house cleaning any time!)

Step Six: Stick The Foam To The Block Key your wood with a knife or sand paper for a stronger hold. Then put glue from a hot glue gun or contact adhesive onto the foam, right up to the edges. Stick your foam shape onto your wooden block. Once it is on, turn your block over and add pressure for a stronger hold. Remember you will get a reverse image when printing, so any letters or numbers must be glued down in reverse.

Weaving on a cardboard loom is really fun and super easy to do. I originally did this in school - my mom still has some of the stuff I made. I was the weaving master. :D In this instructable I'll teach how how to make a cardboard loom and weave on it.

this diy project is inspired by one of my favorite ceramic artists, sarah cihat . i found most of my plates and candlesticks at goodwill. i also used some of those little vases you get when someone gives you flowers, which normally i think are ugly, but here they seem to have found a purpose! i left many of the cakestands bare because i love the original plate designs. if you aren’t happy with the plate or base you can always paint them, or give them a graphic silhouette design (instructions below) like sarah’s rehabilitated dishware. so, if you’re ready to create your own diy cakestands (which operate well as cupcake-stands, too!) click here for the full instructions. happy crafting! - kateIf you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our mailing list . Thanks for visiting! I recently had to buy a recorder for my tween for her music class in school. Who knew there were so many color options to choose from when purchasing a recorder? She picked out a translucent, almost neon, green color Yamaha soprano recorder . It did come with a simple plastic case, but after seeing this crafty upcycled necktie iPhone case from Craftster, I was inspired to make a one-of-a-kind necktie recorder case for Maggie.

Plastic Spoon Light
If you are hosting some sort of party or event where plastic spoons will be used, you may want to consider asking your guests to put them in the sink instead of the trash can. There’s no reason to trash them when you could upcycle them into a truly unique hanging light fixture as featured on Imgur . The spoons can be inserted into slits cut around a large water jug to mimic the look of a pineapple. For my daughter's 3rd birthday, she had a princess themed party and for one of the crafts we made these cute pipe cleanser rings that I found on a site called Glitter Goods . They are super quick and easy to make. So I decided to make them again when my daughter had her friend over for a play date the other day, and they were playing dress up. Supplies: -Pipe cleaners
