Datacrons are special collectibles that you can find in unusual places on all planets in Star Wars: The Old Republic. They are usualy located in seldom visited locations and are sometimes hard to reach. Once you do find them, right clicking on them will start a short cutscene and you will be granted a permanent bonus to one of your stats or you will be granted a colored matrix shard. These matrix shards are used for constructing the highest quality item modifications.
