Posted on 13 October 2009 by John Cook In an earlier post on the human contribution to CO2 levels , cbrock suggested integrating CO2 emissions to obtain the cumulative CO2 emissions . This would allow a direct comparison between the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere and the amount of CO2 we've emitted into the atmosphere. Now I never pass up the opportunity to plot new graphs and this was no exception. The only problem was the data available for CO2 emissions (gigatonnes carbon) used different units to the data for CO2 levels (parts per million by volume).

On a pu reconstituer la température terrestre depuis 600 MA et on sait aujourd’hui que les différences de température selon les époques ont été très importantes. On voit que globalement la température entre 1000 MA et 10 MA était nettement supérieure à la température du dernier million d’années. Au Carbonifère et au Crétacé elle dépassait les 25 °C en moyenne contre 15 °C actuellement.

(NDLR: falsification est un faux ami). Il est signé par deux physiciens théoriciens allemands : Gehrard Gerlich et Ralf. D.
