Ein Computerspiel ist ein Computerprogramm , das einem oder mehreren Benutzern ermöglicht, interaktiv ein durch implementierte Regeln beschriebenes Spiel zu spielen. Stellvertretend wird in der Umgangssprache auch der Begriff Game verwendet (von englisch game ‚Spiel‘). Ebenfalls umgangssprachlich bezeichnet „Computerspiel“ vornehmlich Spielesoftware für Personal Computer (PC-Spiele).
