The base of the event will be located at Hernesaari, in the immediate vicinity of the cruising ship terminal and the popular Merisatama area.The 49er is a very fast and very acrobatic sailing boat class and races are spectacular both for sailors and spectators. As courses are short, the races can be held close to the shore and thus can be viewed from Hernesaari even without access to a motor boat.Around 110 two-person male and female teams are expected to participate. Though the event is classified as a European Championship, it accepts non-European teams so sailors from all over the world will participate. 0;0;Helsinki. The Gallen-Kallela Museum. Seurasaari Open-Air Museum was founded in 1909. All the different provinces of Finland are represented in the well preserved old buildings and they give an overall view of Finnish countryside life from the 18th to the 20th century.
