Whether as an individual or in a group, within an organization (school or association) or just among friends, people of all ages can get involved in the Day. Everyone can contribute to the success of the EDL - either by taking part in the activities organised or by getting together with others and setting up events (please don't forget to enter details of the event into the EDL calendar of events). Just a few possibilities are listed below: PUPILS/STUDENTS: In order to learn more about language diversity, pupils and students can take part in our fun online activities. Through our games and quizzes, you can get a taster of the various languages of Europe.

This activity uses samples of world music available from the BBC and helps primary or secondary pupils identify where different styles of music come from. I have suggested seven different samples of music but there are 13 available in total so you might prefer to use different ones. This activity is a 'Picasso dictation' where the teacher describes a picture and the students draw it. This is based on Salvador Dali’s 1937 surrealist painting “Swans Reflecting Elephants”. Come pianificare un percorso CLIL? Dopo alcuni suggerimenti presentati nell’ultimo articolo ( mettiamoci al lavoro. In poche parole, calma e gesso, per dirla all’italiana maniera, e let’s move on. Premesso che un docente che si impegna in un percorso CLIL coi propri studenti può essere indifferentemente o un docente di disciplina, o un docente di lingua straniera, o un lettore (nei licei linguistici), le strategie didattiche che egli dovrebbe adottare dovrebbero essere il più possibile incentrate su approcci cooperativi (cooperative learning) e legati a una didattica attiva (active learning), in ogni caso centrati sullo studente (student centred) Occorre quindi abbandonare il ruolo di docente-deposito di sapere che trasmette nozioni, e favorire il passaggio al ruolo più consono con questo tipo di approccio, cioè quello di facilitatore-moderatore.
