After the Associated Press published an article on March 20th about employers asking job candidates for Facebook and social media passwords, the response was, to say the least, overwhelming. In the month since, there have been thousands of tweets and social media status updates, more than 2,000 blog posts, and hundreds of news articles on the "trend." Legislation was proposed in at least three states, and by April 9th, Maryland had hastily passed a bill. Even the federal government got involved, with Congressional committees planning hearings on the issue. For its part, Facebook reiterated its service terms, which prohibit members from sharing their passwords with anyone. There was, of course, only one problem: Outside of a handful of specific cases (one of which dated back to 2006), the AP article provided little evidence of the "trend."

If you're a little too impatient to wait for the Absinthe jailbreak tool to make its way to Windows, good news, there's another option. The iPhone Dev Team has released Corona, a command line-based option for Mac and Windows 7 that will deliver Cydia to your iOS 5.0 or 5.0.1-running iPhone 4S or iPad 2. Obviously, you'll want to be comfortable with the terminal and command prompt but, if you can handle a little CTRL+c and CTRL+v action, jailbreaking your brand new iOS device shouldn't prove too difficult. In line with today's claims of taller iPhone prototypes with 3.95-inch displays, one of our sources has provided us with images of what are claimed to be new next-generation iOS device parts being carried by a supplier. The most significant of these parts is a claimed front panel from the next-generation iPod touch, with the supplier claiming that the display would be taller than the current model and that the opening in the front panel measures 4.1 inches diagonally. Apple would undoubtedly use the same display size on the iPhone and iPod touch if it were to bring a larger screen to both of the devices, so it is not entirely clear how to mesh recent claims of a 3.95-inch display with this measurement of 4.1 inches and The Wall Street Journal 's claim of "at least four inches", but all of the reports are in the same general size range.
