Building a Vertical Axis Wind Turbine ( VAWT )

Several years ago I bought some remote property in Arizona. I am an astronomer and wanted a place to practice my hobby far away from the sky-wrecking light pollution found near cities of any real size. In my attempt to escape city slicker yuppies (you know the kind, the ones that like to blab loudly on their cell phone while they work on some business administration degree in a cyber cafe somewhere in Trendyland.) and their light pollution, I found a great piece of remote property.
How I built an electricity producing Solar Panel
FERC Commissioner John R. Norris has been announced as a keynote speaker at the AWEA Wind Power Transmission Seminar. Commissioner Norris was nominated by President Barack Obama to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Prior to being named a Commissioner, Norris held many key energy policy and regulatory affairs positions. FERC Order 1000: Monumental, Moderate, or Somewhere in Between? The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (FERC) Order 1000 Order 1000 has different short- and long-term implications that vary between organized and unorganized markets.

[ Run time: 2:05 min ] I hope you enjoy this short video of Shawn Frayne, a young inventor that has created this device to generate, on the micro-scale, energy for LED lights and radios in 0 diggs digg developing countries. This is the first approach that uses aeroelastic flutter to create super cheap electricity. We’re talking about changing the way wind energy is harvested and captured. Frayne won a 2007 Breakthrough Award from Popular Mechanics, and he deserves it. This incredible technology is 10-30 times more efficient than the best micro-turbines. So, Frayne hopes to fund third-world distribution of the Windbelt through sales in first-world applications.
Windbelt Micro-wind, 10 Times Cheaper Wind Energy!!
In collaboration with Norman Rostoker from UC at Irvine, we have designed a novel type of fusion reactor, the Colliding Beam Fusion Reactor (CBFR). It uses protons (p) and boron-11 (11B) for fuel. Fusion reactions produce only three helium-4 (4He) nuclei, and nearly 9 million eV energy.
