Snapr API Profile
The Snapr API can be used to add real-time geosocial photosharing features to an app and even build up a self contained customised photo sharing site. Snapr is a service for sharing geo-tagged images. On Snapr user photos are shown with other peoples shots from around the same time and place. Snapr provides an iPhone app and connects with Twitter. The API uses RESTful protocol and responses are formatted as JSON or RSS.

As you can tell from some of our recent news here at Seedcamp ( new people , new money ),we’ve been focused on changes that allow us to reach more entrepreneurs around the world. Today we’d like to share a couple more updates and release our 2011 calendar, kicking off with a Seedcamp event in London next month. Seedcamp London, 25 January 2011 We’re excited to start the New Year with a full day Seedcamp on January 25th, where 20 teams will descend on London for a day of intensive mentoring and networking. The most current parts list for this class is on my teaching site . Students should refer to that during the course of the semester to be sure they have the latest information. For the first half of the class, we’ll be working with an embedded net co-processor from Lantronix called the XPort Direct . We’ll also look at the regular XPort , WiPort and MatchPort from the same company. There are a number of options for hooking these up, many of which are covered in Making Things Talk.With an R&D budget in the billions, you would expect Microsoft to have some very neat side-projects. The good news is that your hunch is completely correct, Microsoft does have some very interesting experiments for you to play with.
