I recently took the plunge and purchased a Fuji X100s after toying with the idea for a couple of weeks.

Fujifilm X100s review

I came close to buying the original X100 when it was released, but all the talk of poor AF and general speed put me off in the end. This isn’t going to be an exhaustive review; I am not really interested in “pixel-peeping” and there are plenty of those kinds of tests online anyway. I just want to give my impressions of the camera from a real-world perspective, having used the camera now for a couple of weeks.

I made my camera look really old/crappy - I Document Mods. Screen Protectors - Page 5 - Fuji X Accessories. It's not ur imagination, the GGS is slightly too big for the X100.

Screen Protectors - Page 5 - Fuji X Accessories

That's why even though I use GGS exclusively on all my cameras, I chose ACMAXX this time as the fit is better. The difference being that the ACMAXX is made specially for the X100, whereas so far the GGS others have been fitting are generic models. The ACMAXX is however, more expensive than the GGS, which can be found on amazon/ebay type sites for ~$5. The ACMAXX is ~$20 from memory. GGS have made a specialized protector for each of my previous cameras, so I'm sure eventually they will get around to doing so for the X100. In saying all of this, any screen protector that is of a hard type, whether made of glass or plastic may collect dust/grime etc around the edges as they are raised a mm or so from the surface of the camera.

Loss Through Overexposure. Published on October 27th, 2011 After coming out of the digital slr closet with my recent purchase of a Fuji X100, as I browse through performance related accessories for the rangefinder I’m coming across people who accesorize the hell out of these cameras, and I’m not quite sure how much function factors into these changes.

Loss Through Overexposure

Sure when you own a SLR you buy a battery pack to make the camera look bigger (come on now, your battery life isn’t THAT bad that you need one), and I admit to being guilty of buying larger lens hoods for my telephotos, but there seems to be a whole market of people who dig through old camera parts and straps to throw on their rangefinders/35mm slrs. These two caught my eye over on here. ネオクラシック・デジタル、最初の挑戦. FinePix X100は、大胆なまでにオールドスクールスタイルを取り入れたカメラだ。

My UN Lens Hoods have arrived from Japan.. - Fuji X Accessories

Great service and arrived pretty swiftly. Cost just over £100 for this lot, and I did get raped by the customs for the VAT (another £30) but very pleased with the items none the less. They are awesome quality and fit great too. I would definitely recommend UN to others, top service, very friendly, and they speak perfect English. Pics as follows. Photography By Zack Arias.

Here is the strangest gear review I have ever written.

I am a massive fan of long exposure photography and the only issue I have ever faced with my X100/X100s was the challenge of capturing long exposure photographs during the day light hours. I tried a few 49mm variable filters with little or no success and because the X100s system is all about simplicity the idea of struggling with step-up or step-down adaptors to attach an ND filter just didn’t make sense. To this end I found the X100s was my main everyday camera but I had to pack another system if I was planning long exposure captures.

Welcome the Lee Seven5 Micro System. 30 Photos of Ireland captured with the X100s. When Fujifilm announced the X100s I have to admit I was excited. I had grown to love the X100, I had grown used to the quirks and foibles of the original incarnation and learned to focus on the positives, as they were plenty. The X100s may look almost identical to the original X100 but in short it is a completely different animal (photographically speaking).

The X100s is a phenomenal leap in performance and image quality to the original X100, the new X-Trans sensor is brilliant and especially shines in low light environments and as a result I am using it for literally everything. Although the X100s is only out a few months I have already taken it to most of the counties in Northern Ireland (and also Donegal). I’ve used in every weather condition Ireland can throw at it in this very long Winter of Spring. The remarkable Fuji X100S as a Family Camera. By Paul Rogers I'm a professional photographer. Photo Project – X100S (2 Months Later) The camera has been ideal for walking around and snapping shots with detail that would give the D600 and D800 a run for their money. The ISO of this photograph is 3200… The detail is incredible for such a high ISO, something I could not have done with my D600 or OMD EM5 without having to worry about image quality sacrifices. Where the camera really stand out is the incredible technology that Fujifilm packed into such a small package (Nikon, Canon, and all other manufacturers take note).

This shot was taken with the BUILT IN 2 stop ND filter, all I had to do was pop into the menu and turn on the ND filter. It’s a physical ND filter that drops into the lens and there is no sacrifice in image quality. EzFoto 12″ Locking Mechanical Cable Release for Macro Photography, Long Time Exposures. Fuji X100S Review - Is it worth to upgrade from the classic X100? Fuji X100s review by London Wedding Photographer. As a professional wedding photographer, it’s important to me to continue to enjoy photography.

I feel very honoured that people trust me to capture their wedding day how they remembered it. Very often I hear guests at weddings say “wow look at that camera, I bet it takes great photos”, and to a certain extent they are right, it does, but only in the right hands. If you spend enough money on a camera and lens then you expect it to do a pretty good job when set on auto, with it’s complex metering system: just point and shoot. A Few Fuji X100 Tips. I was onto the rush of mirrorless cameras pretty early – mostly from manufacturers sharing with me what was “coming soon”, but I admit that I didn’t really “get” it, until I started receiving early versions, prototypes and demos from the marketing folks at all your fav manufactures.

Only then did I truly understand the punch that these little cameras pack – because they’re good. I loved the concept, but hated the tiny sensors and the poor performance. Well, those days are gone, and now these cameras are really good. Fuji x100s review - Photography Tips & Reviews. Fujifilm X100s torture test review: Fujifilm X System / SLR Talk Forum.
