NMMU Vice-Chancellor Prof Derrick Swartz, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, Stephen Saad and Neil Turok NELSON Mandela Metropolitan University graduation continues this week with the conferring of 6296 degrees, diplomas and certificates at 14 ceremonies. 287 graduates from NMMU’s George Campus were first to be capped in the Garden Route town on Friday and will be followed, from Tuesday morning, by 13 other ceremonies until Monday afternoon (read related news articles...) During this time 72 doctorates and 427 master’s degrees will be awarded, including 23 doctorates to NMMU staff. Five honorary doctorates were awarded during Wednesday afternoon’s ceremony to: Paul Allen was unable to attend the ceremony – watch his acceptance speech on our YouTube channel.
