i thought my heart would not beat faster for any more galaxy print items (let’s face it we ve seen too many of them…) and like always, i was proven wrong. i literally gasped when the picture of this beauty appeared on my screen. cosmic wonder. then worries flooded in: can my ginormous arse fit in? as illustrated in the pix above, the answer is yes, albeit barely. the maxi may look just like another plain, elegant dress but i love how the pleats fade eventually towards the hem, making the dress flow more airily. and the open waist design emits a casual vibe which, together with the cocktail clutch, gives the look a delicious playfulness.happycache
I got an Achilles’ Heel — literally! I have a birthmark on my ankle. Quite odd that it’s like a thick strip of bruise perfectly shaped near my ankle. Often times when I wear a mini or a pair of shorts, people almost panic and ask with concern what happened to my “foot”!! So nonchalantly I have grown accustomed to saying that’s my good luck charm! Today my mom and I decided to have some brunch before I left for school and she had a date with the SPA. Oh jealousy.. HAHA!
So, as some of you know, I’ve been really involved lately with training for the SoCal Super Spartan Race that just passed. It was the first race of the year, held in Temecula, California, and it was incredible. The weather was perfect, ranging around the steady mid-upper 70s, without a cloud in sight. The dry desert wasn’t too bad because of the nice, cool breeze that came across the hilltops.

Ever since I got a watch , necklace and ring from Efva Attling I have been wearing them non-stop. The items are subtle, but very stylish and true compliment-getters. The Swedish born designer just recently opened her first store in the Meatpacking District in New York , with neighbors such as Alexander McQueen , Diane von Furstenberg , and Tory Burch . Efva Attling calls her designs ‘beauty with a thought’ and that is exactly how I would describe her collection, especially the funky rings .

MYHABIT recently asked me to be a contributor on their blog, MYHABIT theFix , with a mission to style a duo of Mad Men inspired outfits. Using a few of their vintage inspired garments and accessories and mixing them with my own wardrobe, I went overboard and did three (if I had time, I would have done several more). I couldn't think of a more fun way to celebrate the return of one of my favorite shows, which seems to have ended ages ago. As someone whose style is heavily inspired by the 60s, I found an immediate favorite in Mad Men: first, because of the fashion and then because the story sucked me in. The hoopla surrounding its season premiere is anything but scarce (in-flight Mad Men runway show, anyone?) and I'm thrilled to be able to partake in it.Pandora »
