Cuenta una base de datos con más de 35 millones de registros, foros, grupos de discusión, etc. La plataforma cuenta con dos sedes, Boston y Berlín y reportan en la actualidad más de 2.6 millones de miembros, de los cuales 511 son profesores, investigadores o estudiantes de la UABC en todas las disciplinas. El RG informa sobre las visitas y referencias al perfil de un investigador, así como los artículos citados globalmente y en la semana anterior. También informa sobre el perfil del visitante, el origen (país e institución) y sobre el RG Score. El RG Score se calcula basado en como otros investigadores interactúan con el contenido del autor y que tan frecuente lo hacen. El propósito del score es ayudar a medir y sopesar la posición de los investigadores entre la comunidad científica.
