Microsoft's Visual Studio Code Is Based On GitHub Atom Microsoft released its first cross-platform code editor to great fanfare yesterday, but it’s not quite what it appears when you peek under the hood. Visual Studio Code is based on technology found in GitHub’s open-source code editor, Atom. If you crack into the files, you’ll notice a number of binaries are named “atom.exe” on Windows and on OS X a peek inside the Application shows a number of Atom resources. Microsoft didn’t specifically point to the technology during the keynote this week for being the foundation underneath Visual Studio Code, however in an associated licensing file it notes a number of packages it has used from the Atom project. Specifically, the Electron Shell project which was formerly part of Atom is used to allow Web technology to be used as a desktop code editor. Microsoft has added a number of features not seen in Atom or similar editors on OS X and Linux, such as Intellisense support. ➤ Visual Studio Code

Intuition is commonly associated with New Age mysticism or a metaphysical way of thinking, but it doesn’t have to be so. 1. 2.

Visual hierarchy is the difference between a site that strategically influences user flow and decisions, and a site that just “looks nice.” An interface’s visual hierarchy relies on the same principles of aesthetics used by the Renaissance masters, but on top of that (or rather beneath it) there’s the subtext of secondary goals – promoting specific content, encouraging user signups and call-to-actions, and generally improving the overall experience so users enjoy their visit beyond just accomplishing their goals. Each one of these emotions creates a different feeling within the body. After all, our body releases different chemicals when we experience various things that make us happy and each chemical works to create a different environment within the body. Find Updates for Non-Play Store Apps on Android More Easily with ApkTrack « Android Gadget Hacks Find Updates for Non-Play Store Apps on Android More Easily with ApkTrack The Google Play Store may have fewer restrictions that its iOS counterpart, but that doesn't mean that all apps make the cut. Ad blockers and Xposed modules that bypass paywalls have never had a place on the Google Play Store, which makes tracking their app-updates a painful process.
