Remove Image Backgrounds Free & Fast - Background Burner - Bonanza Create amazing geometric illustrations using Photoshop | Illustration In this Photoshop tutorial I'm going to show you how you can take any image and use it as the basis for something cleaner and more stripped down. Fully rendered images, with realistic light, shadow and texture, are great and have their place but sometimes it's nice to get back to bare bones and treat an image more as a graphic than anything else. Apart from being fun and therapeutic it can also aid understanding of form and structure. As much of my work is 3D in nature I've come to love looking at polygons and the method I'm showing here has its basis in flat polygons, mostly three-sided shapes that are put together and coloured to define an underlying form. Here, we're going to create the iconic image from the Jaws movie poster in flat polygons using Photoshop. 01. First up you need to decide what your subject matter is going to be. Open Photoshop and create a new document. Creating the sea To create the sea add a new layer behind your reference image and create a new gradient. 02. 03.

Cracking The Black Box of Photogrammetry Scanning | Infinite-Realities After 3 years of hard work, allot of research, help from Family, a sacrificed social life and many freelance projects to pay off this research. I have finally finished the 2nd iteration of IR’s Fullbody Scanner. Back in 2002 as a young 3D Environment Artist I could only have ever dreamed of owning my own ‘Laser’ Scanning System. I had no Character Artist Experience, ZBrush was just a 2D painting tool. I was in debt and had no business. My point.. if you keep trying you can achieve bigger and better things. IR’s Custom Built Capture System The system boasts 70x DSLR Canon Cameras. So in this blog post I wanted to show off some example captures (at the bottom) but first I wanted to explain (visually) why this system is better than previous scanning solutions. “So what are the benefits of IR’s Capture system?” Here is a simple set of animated pictograms to explain why: Old Scanning Solutions. Don’t Fear the Internet Make Hyperbolic Tilings of Images The loaded image will be cropped to the centered hyperbolic polygon. Repeated hyperbolic reflections of the centered polygon make up the tiling. The option generate large generates a tiling that is larger than the image shown on the screen. The default scale factor for an enlarged tiling is four, this is a length factor. Another scale factor can be chosen below. Larger tilings take longer time to generate, mostly since the edge of the tiling gets finer. If change first tile is clicked, the rendering of the first tile will cycle through "no distortion", "Klein distortion", and "polynomial distortion". The hyperbolic tiling The tiling is made of regular hyperbolic polygons with sides. is the number of polygons meeting at each corner. When a so-called Poincaré disc is used to model hyperbolic geometry, the entire universe is inside a circle . Polynomial distortion Every point inside a Eudclidean polygon lies on a segment parallel to the one of the border segments of the polygon. When then

Create polygon graphics: Part 1 The popularity of isometric shapes in digital art can be explained in many ways. This blocky style is retro, it’s shiny and there’s a lot of play involved when creating. There are plenty of great examples online to get inspired by – www.polygonheroes.com and the works of our artist Ryan Barber (www.behance.net/rbarber), for example. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to work from a model photo, combining both Photoshop and Illustrator to create exciting shape styles. We’ll begin by using Illustrator’s Pen tool, and show you how to trace a grid of carefully mapped triangles on top of a photo. A more interesting isometric illustration will have a map of triangles that’s not evenly distributed. We’ll be using the Eyedropper tool, gradients and swatches too, showing how these are all used to fill and affect colour. Here we’ll explore how to make overall colour changes to our rendered design, using Gradient Overlay, Levels and other colour adjustments to achieve a fantastic final image.

The Wikihuman Project Seven years after Digital Emily was created, Emily O'Brien was generous enough to have herself scanned again, this time at much higher resolution and fidelity. This scan is the first subject used in the Wikihuman project. This data, along with work done by the Digital Human League is now available for download. The Wikihuman project is a collaborative by the members of the Digital Human League to advance the study of digital humans. The following graph explains the best method of applying the displacement maps The following graph outlines the recommended method of building a shader network for the provided maps Here is the OSL version of the shader The Maya scene file supplied here contains the model and shaders. Loop Regularizer Rearranges loops in regular n-gons. Additional Info: This modeling tool works with edge loops on planar and curved surfaces as well as cross-sections and accepts multiple loops at once. Valid loops must be closed, not branching and not connected to each other. Installation: Drop the .mzp file in a viewport. For further customization, the tool appears under Regularize Edge Loop (Poly) in the Editable Polygon Object category of the Customize User Interface dialog. v1.1: Just a tiny change in the code. Topology Guides Here’s a few tips to keep in mind when Sub-d modeling. I hope you like this written format. If not, let me know. 1. Always start with an accurate Blocking Blocking is one of the most important stages of modeling. 2. When sub-d modeling you don’t need to worry about keeping curved surfaces smooth because once you apply a few levels of sub-surf (subdivision surface) you won’t be able to see how “low poly” your model really is. 3. Tris and n-gons have a pretty hideous reputation of ruining topology, but if used in the right circumstances, they can be useful. 4. I know you’ve probably heard this one a zillion times. 5. Modifiers are non-destructive. 6. Instead of adding holding edges to keep your corners sharp, crease your edge instead.
