Mind Mapping Software Mind mapping software continues to evolve and the latest generation is really, really, really good. I first tried software mind mapping with MindJet's MindManager X5 Pro. The interface was intuitive (click insert or enter to add topics), formatting was easy, and I liked all of the options available to customize my maps (color, type of connectors, line styles, relationships, callouts, arrows, icons, and much more). MindJet's newest version, MindManager 7, is amazing.

I Love Free SoftwareFree Windows 8 Mind Mapping App: M8! Mind Map M8! Mind Map is a free Windows 8 mind mapping app. Using this app you can convert a small thought in your mind, into a widely expanded and well branched visual presentation. It is basically a Windows 8 app that helps you map your ideas in a beautifully branched way. Learn What You Want, Teach What You Love The idea for MentorMob sprouts from the backgrounds of Kris Chinosorn and Vince Leung. Both avid learners, they found early on that the Internet was not quite the incredible tool for learning new skills and hobbies that everyone thinks it is. Even with millions of free lessons online, the content is almost impossible to navigate. Men's Journal Magazine - Men's Style, Travel, Fitness and Gear I hate the gym. At least, I hate "the gym" as imagined by the modern American health club: the mindless repetitions on the weight machines, halfhearted crunches, daytime TV during the treadmill. Such a sad, unimaginative excuse for a life, when I could be out rock-climbing, surfing, or, hell, even just scrubbing the bathroom floor. But I love working out the way I've come to understand it, and two big discoveries made all the difference. First, I realized that we all live in a kind of Fitness Fog, a miasma of lies and misinformation that we mistake for common sense, and that makes most of our gym time a complete waste.

Visual Thinking Evolution A mind map is a diagram used to represent words, ideas, tasks, or other items linked to and arranged around a central key word or idea. Especially in British English, the terms spidergram and spidergraph are more common,[1] but they can cause confusion with the term spider diagram used in mathematics and logic. Mind maps are used to generate, visualize, structure, and classify ideas, and as an aid to studying and organizing information, solving problems, making decisions, and writing. The elements of a given mind map are arranged intuitively according to the importance of the concepts, and are classified into groupings, branches, or areas, with the goal of representing semantic or other connections between portions of information. Mind maps may also aid recall of existing memories. By presenting ideas in a radial, graphical, non-linear manner, mind maps encourage a brainstorming approach to planning and organizational tasks.

Scapple for Mac OS X Rough It Out Scapple doesn’t force you to make connections, and it doesn’t expect you to start out with one central idea off of which everything else is branched. There’s no built-in hierarchy at all, in fact—in Scapple, every note is equal, so you can connect them however you like. The idea behind Scapple is simple: when you are roughing out ideas, you need complete freedom to experiment with how those ideas best fit together.

Digital Habitats: stewarding technology for communities » Putting our diagrams to work Jul 05 2010 Our goal in writing Digital Habitats was to recognize and move forward the literacies that are involved in stewarding technology for communities. We are happy when people put our ideas to work and appreciate it when people use our diagrams for that purpose. If you write us requesting permission to use the diagrams in a copyrighted work, we are happy to give permission. You may use them in informal ways, where you do not assert copyright, like a blog post without express permission, as long as you use them “as is”.
