Miracle Hunter: Lourdes - List of Approved Miracles In 1859, Professor Vergez of the Faculty of Medicine at Montpellier was appointed to examine the cures. Seven cures were recorded before 1862 promoting the argument for the recognition of the Apparitions by Bishop Laurence. Almost 7,000 cures have been documented at the waters of Lourdes. The Church has vigorously investigated and validated a mere 67 of them. Our Lady of Lourdes Our Lady of Lourdes is a title of the Blessed Virgin Mary invoked by Roman Catholics in honor of the Marian apparitions said to have occurred on numerous occasions in 1858 in the vicinity of Lourdes, France. The first of these is the apparition of 11 February 1858, when Bernadette Soubirous, a 14-year-old peasant girl, admitted to her mother that a "lady" spoke to her in the cave of Massabielle (a mile from the town) while she was gathering firewood with her sister and a friend.[1] Similar appearances of the "lady" were reported on seventeen further occasions that year. Bernadette Soubirous was later canonized as a Saint, and Roman Catholics and some Protestants believe her apparitions have been validated by the overwhelming popularity and testament of healings claimed to have taken place at the Lourdes water spring. The Intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes A true story: Mr. Clyde King, the steady sacristan at my parish here in northern California approached me one day after Mass last year, asking if perhaps I could fill in for him for about ten days. He might be going out of town, though this was not yet assured; he wanted to line someone up, with plenty of notice, just in case. Lourdes shrine officially records 69th miracle Lourdes, France, Jul 22, 2013 / 10:20 am (CNA/EWTN News).- The famous Marian shrine in Lourdes, France has received an official declaration from the Bishop of Pavia, Italy stating that the 69th miracle has taken place there. "I have the joy of reporting to everyone my healing, which just a few days ago was approved as a miracle by my bishop, which is a beautiful thing,” said Mrs. Danila Castelli, who experienced the miracle on May 4, 1989 after visiting the baths in Lourdes. Castelli said in an interview posted July 18, 2013 on the Lourdes Sanctuary’s YouTube channel that she wants to “thank Our Lady for all of the joy I've received, not just the joy of a healed body - which is also important because health is a gift of God and we have to protect it and ask for it, life is a gift - but the joy that Our Lord has given me throughout my entire life for as long as I can remember.” However, her condition did not improve, and in Nov. 1982 surgeons removed part of her pancreas.

"After profound expert examinations, the International Medical Committee of Lourdes has concluded this was a remarkable occurrence, an unexplained cure according to the current state of science," said Bishop Emmanuel Delmas of Angers. "This cure can be considered a personal gift from God for this man, an instance of grace and a sign from Christ the savior," he added. Serge Francois, now 65, had been twice operated on unsuccessfully for a herniated disk when he traveled to Lourdes on a diocesan pilgrimage April 12, 2002. He said the "unbearable flashing pain" in his left leg was replaced after a few minutes of prayer by an "intense sensation of good will and warmth," which continued until the paralyzed limb completely recovered.

During the apparition on March 25, the lady identified herself with the words: “I am the Immaculate Conception.” Bernadette was a sickly child of poor parents. Out of dedication to Mary, parishioners of the Vietnamese church sought to recreate the grotto shrine in Lourdes, France, a Catholic holy site that draws tens of thousands of believers daily seeking healing from the mother of Jesus. "This is one of the biggest things since we first had the parish," church member Nick Nguyen said. "It has always been our dream to have this." The dream became a reality Sunday when Bishop Joseph A.
