The master. Jeff Wall Biography Jeff Wall is a leading contemporary Canadian photographer. Working within a Conceptual practice, Wall is concerned with ideas about the nature of images, representation, and memory. His large-scale photographs appropriate the visual language of advertising in their use of backlit transparencies, offering “cinematographic” recreations of small moments that the artist has witnessed in his everyday life. He reconstructs the environments of his memories in a manner similar to that of Gregory Crewdson, remarking that initially “not photographing gives me imaginative freedom that is crucial to the making of art.

Gustav Courbet : History of Erotic Art Gustav Klimt (1862 - 1918) was an Austrian artist from Vienna who was one of the pioneers of Symbolism and Art Nouveau who is best known for his paintings though was also an incredibly prolific draftsman. "All art is erotic" — Gustav Klimt We usually use self portraits of the artists on ErotiCart, however Klimt famously has no self portrait and is popularly quoted saying "I have never painted a self-portrait. I am less interested in myself as a subject for a painting than I am in other people, above all women...There is nothing special about me. I am a painter who paints day after day from morning to night...Who ever wants to know something about me... ought to look carefully at my pictures."

Electrifying Photography Robert Buelteman uses high voltage photography Forget the notion of a reverent nature photographer tiptoeing through the woods, camera slung over one shoulder, patiently looking for perfect light. Robert Buelteman works indoors in total darkness, forsaking cameras, lenses, and computers for jumper cables, fiber optics, and 80,000 volts of electricity. This bizarre union of Dr. Frankenstein and Georgia O’Keeffe spawns photos that seem to portray the life force of his subjects as the very process destroys them. Vladimir Tatlin Biography, Art, and Analysis of Works Vladimir Tatlin was central to the birth of Russian Constructivism. Often described as a "laboratory Constructivist," he took lessons learned from Pablo Picasso's Cubist reliefs and Russian Futurism, and began creating objects that sometimes seem poised between sculpture and architecture. Initially trained as an icon painter, he soon abandoned the traditionally pictorial concerns of painting and instead concentrated on the possibilities inherent in the materials he used - often metal, glass, and wood. Create a Pencil Drawing of a Face In this demo, I create a charcoal pencil drawing a face. If you haven't drawn a face successfully already, you may want to brush up on basics of drawing a human head before working through this page. I always say that knowing how the human head is structured sets you more at ease when drawing people. The woman I will be drawing is turning away from us toward her right side. As this is to be a pencil drawing of a face, I won't cover anything beyond her head and neck. Drawing a human face is challenging enough, and I do not want to overwhelm you with more than that.
