A Visual Representation Of The Relationship Between Science And Music | SF Globe Nigel John Stanford is a musician from New Zealand who is well-known for his work in the genres of Ambient and New Age music. In the video below, you can see a range of his musical abilities as he plays both a drum set and a piano while also rigging makeshift instruments from things like playing cards. This video is entitled 'Cymatics,' and cymatics is the science of creating visualizations of audio frequencies. On his website, Stanford explains how he became interested in visualizing sound: "In 1999 I watched a documentary on 'Synesthesia' - a disorder that effects the audio and visual functions of the brain. This got me thinking that it would be cool to make a music video where every time a sound plays, you see a corresponding visual element. Though it took Stanford quite some time to acquire all of the parts required to pull off this incredible series of experiments, he had only two days to film all the different pieces.

Paso 1 – Documentación: Lo ideal sería desplazarse al lugar donde se encuentra el elemento a ilustrar y tomar fotografías. Paso 2 – Bocetos: Una vez obtenidos todos los datos, se debe comenzar el bocetaje.

Academia Mexicana de Ilustración Científica La Academia Mexicana de la Ilustración Científica es una asociación mexicana cuyo objetivo es promover e impulsar el desarrollo de la ilustración científica en todos sus aspectos. Por iniciativa de la maestra Elvia Esparza se convocó, en agosto de 1990, en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México a un grupo de personas interesadas en esta disciplina, a constituir una agrupación de ilustradores científicos. Se reunieron artistas de esta especialidad, investigadores (en su mayoría biólogos) y personas de diversas formaciones artísticas. Después de varias asambleas y trámites, el 21 de enero de 1992 se constituyó legalmente este grupo con la denominación social de Academia Mexicana de Ilustración Científica, A.C.(1) A partir de ese año diversas persona han ocupado los cargos directivos en la asociación.
