Artistique ( d'après Souriau) « adjectif tiré au 19 e siècle du mot d'artiste, et voulant dire : relatif aux arts, ayant le caractère d'un art » Bien consciente que ce terme n'est pas très explicite pour nos élèves de sixième, c'est volontairement que je l'ai utilisé pour qu'ils se questionnent à son propos. En leur proposant ce travail, je souhaitais ainsi les conduire à faire des choix : Quel point de vue montrer de la fourchette et pour cela, quel cadrage, quelle lumière, quelle mise en scène, quels effets chercher ? L'appareil numérique leur permettant de regarder immédiatement ce qu'ils venaient de photographier, ils purent ainsi essayer, recommencer, supprimer. Les images furent projetées pour la verbalisation, puis imprimées sous forme d'une planche contact par groupe.

Objets dans l'objectif - émancipation de la photographie Le XXe siècle culturel s'ouvre sur un objet : un urinoir, signé d'un pseudonyme, rebaptisé Fontaine et exposé en 1917 par le dadaïste Marcel Duchamp. La photographie qu'en prend Alfred Stieglitz bouleverse le monde des arts. Provocant l'ordre bourgeois, ce ready made (objet courant voire trivial érigé en œuvre d'art par le seul fait de son exposition délibérée) annonce les mutations du siècle nouveau : rejet des sujets conventionnels de l'art, lecture multiple de l'objet (formelle, sémantique), place prépondérante de ce dernier dans le paysage visuel de l'entre-deux-guerres, renouvellement du langage artistique par l'usage, entre autres, de la photographie.
