Visual Effects and Live Action Converge With Nobumichi Asai’s Facial Projection Mapping We all know that visual effects are the stuff of films, enabling harry potter’s transfiguration spells and animating Iron Man’s full-body suit. We’ve come to accept these effects because we separate them from film and live action. But these boundaries are slowly fading. Watch as the model’s face shifts, distorts and is animated in front of your eyes simply by projecting a video onto her face. Asai is staging a live demonstration of his technology in Tokyo on August 28, 2014. Pin It!

Place A Cylindrical Mirror On These Drawings And They Instantly Come To Life István Orosz is a Hungarian artist who is known for his use of the technique anamorphosis. Orosz will create a drawing, that at first glance could seem abstract. It is not until he places a cylindrical mirror on the artwork that the illustration comes to life. Sometimes, hidden pictures are revealed, or the image itself is totally transformed. He attended school for graphic design, but after graduation began to design for the theatre and animated films. Traditional Pinup Photos with Splashes of Milk as Clothes Captured with High-Speed Photography Inspired by the classic pin-ups of the 1940’s and 1950’s, photographer Jaroslav Wieczorkiewicz came up with a current version of those iconic posters. The twist introduced by the London based lensman was to use a highly unusual substance to cloth his models. Wieczorkiewicz used milk, (yes the kind you get from cows) along with high speed photography to capture the drink while being poured over his scantily clad (or near naked) models. He snapped hundreds of photos of every pose while pouring actual milk over the ladies, producing some unbelievable shots. Wieczorkiewicz shares some of the action behind the scenes on his blog: The style and look of the photography brings you back to the pin-ups that proliferated in mid last century, with such iconic stars like of Marylin Monroe, Betty Grable, Jane Russell, Rita Hayworth and countless other timeless beauties. Wieczorkiewicz said of the project, “It was a lot of fun to work on these images.
