Présentation des applications de journaux. Kindle for iPad Hits the App Store. Amazon’s Kindle app for iPad has found its way into the App Store just in time for tomorrow morning’s device launch. Like Kindle apps for other platforms, the iPad app [iTunes link] includes Amazon’s Whispersync technology, which syncs your last page read, bookmarks, notes and highlights across devices. The exciting part, however, is all of the iPad-specific features, including new page turning animations, a library view with pinch, zoom and scrolling support, and adjustable screen brightness. The latter attempts to address the “but how will it work in sunlight?” Question that has hounded the iPad’s intention to function as an e-reader (and is, at the moment, considered a winning element of Amazon’s Kindle device).

Amazon adds a bit more color to this feature in a release issued this evening, writing that, "Customers can choose to dim iPad's screen within the app to make reading easier regardless of the ambient light or time of day. Recent Disney apps news: Does the iPad App Give Rackspace An Advantage? - ReadWriteCloud.

Rackspace launched an iPad app to manage a cloud infrastructure, one of the first to offer such a service. Amazon Web Services (AWS) does not have apps for the iPhone nor the iPad platforms. It has historically not offered mobile apps for AWS. You can still access AWS on the iPad through the Safari browser. But is the experience as rich as what you would have as on a native app? Mike Mayo built Rackspace's iPad app.

He says it is the functionality that gives apps their value. It's evident in both consumer and enterprise apps. Mayo humorously says that the app offers administrators "a life. " The app does have a new service not available on the iPhone version. We could go into details about the app and what it offers but Robert Scoble's video does a good job of that. Mayo is currently developing a Rackpace cloud app for the Android. Disclosure: RackSpace is a sponsor of ReadWriteCloud's parent site, ReadWriteWeb. Clicker Helps You Find iPad-Friendly Videos. As we’ve reported over the past few days, a number of online video sites are jumping on the HTML5 bandwagon so that their content can be viewed on the iPad (which doesn’t support Adobe’s Flash).

However, some online video sites have not adjusted their video content to be iPad friendly (a.k.a these sites are still using Flash). Clicker, a comprehensive search engine for TV content on the web, is launching a special version of its site for the iPad that will only surface videos from the web that will be able to stream on the device. Clicker, which made its debut at TechCrunch50 last fall, makes it easy to search through the vast amounts of video content available online. Clicker’s index includes over 600,000 full length TV episodes spanning 10,000 shows.

The service also allows users to search through premium content including Netflix’s Instant Streaming movies and Amazon Video on Demand (though you have to pay to watch them). 5 iPhone Games You Should Supersize on Your iPad. iPhone and iPod touch users who just added Apple's third device to their inventory of gadgets know that the out-of-pocket expense on the iPad itself could eventually pale in comparison to the total cost spent on applications.

For those of us left with much less discretionary income after purchasing our pricey product, we need to maximize our iPad app budget. Thankfully Apple promised that most the applications we already know and love would work on the iPad too. Practice has proven a tad disappointing with some of these apps, but we have found a number of iPhone games that sparkle on the big screen. Here are five that you should definitely try out on the big screen. 1. Some iPhone games just look amazing and play spectacularly on the iPad even though there may not be an iPad equivalent just yet. If you're already familiar with the game and own the iPhone version, make sure to add it to your iPad's app collection immediately. 2. 3. The Iconfactory is known for their slick applications.
