Raja Yoga: The path of the Mind. Raja Yoga deals with the mind and the ego. Through meditation and contemplation false ego is surrendered. True ego, which is the spiritual ego, is the true nature of human consciousness. This is the part of you that searches for spiritual truth and true happiness. When you have gained an understanding of truth through jnana yoga, meditation and contemplation expands your spiritual ego and increases your level of consciousness. The first goal on the path to Enlightenment is to attain a state of unconditional love; currently only 0.4 percent of the world’s population reach this level. This is about to change, however, for we have entered the new stage of our evolution, the information age. Control of ones mind is difficult for many, because they think that they are their minds and the minds thoughts are their thoughts.
