Although I had Mother’s Day in mind for this one, really it could be for yourself or for any gifting occasion that you have. I have put Katelyn to the task of coming up with an easy jewelry project that we could make with our yarn. In this photo tutorial she will show you how to make a simple DIY scrap yarn bracelet.

I started by looking at some things on Pinterest and what I had in my ever growing stash and put together an idea. Let’s get started on this free crochet earring pattern! Skill Level: Intermediate Measurements: Spring Flair Earrings, Free Crochet Pattern + Video. Instructions:Beginning with the first color you want to use (I started with lavender), string on 5 of the beads onto the floss with the needle. Tie the floss onto the hoop. Row 1 (lavender floss): ch 1, then work 9 sc into the center of the hoop. Row 2: (lavender floss): Ch 1 and turn. *Work a sc into the first stitch incorporating a bead into the stitch (slide the bead over as far as possible against your work and work the stitch). The museum held a special art display for the school’s instructors and I chose to have this Celtic Princess Necklace be a part of the art show. It will appear small. The number of rubber bands will directly relate to the size of the wrist. When you’ve added the number of bands you think are about right, simply wrap it around the wrist to check it out. I made these three for me with seven rubber bands, but my wrists are tinier than average. I made one for my 10-year-old (because he begged me LOL) and I used five rubber bands. If you’ve never worked single crochet around something, it’s very easy. Instructions First Rubberband: Join thread with sl st around band, ch 1, 10 sc around band (the goal here is to cover the band half way, use more stitches if you happen to be using a finer thread).
