The Evernote Smart Notebook by Moleskine Digitizes and Automatically Tags Your Handwritten Notes. Amongst others, I use Evernote for the following: - funny, pretty and inspirational stuff; nice to look back at when I'm in a bad mood - personal wishlist; not just things I actually want right now, but everything I think I might want someday - technical articles relating to work - cheat sheets - bookmarks I just tried Evernote and as I used it I found more and more uses for it. I think about 99% of my Evernote entries are copied from the web, so I wouldn't have a need for the Evernote Smart Notebook. I use it extensively to aggregate every piece of information that isn't an actual document. I think everyone uses it a bit differently but to give an example I use to track character bios, plot arcs and general ideas for my books.

It's pretty good at random information, anything that could end up a post-it - such as your houses air filter size, your oil filter for your car and the serial number of your bike. I first heard about Evernote about a year ago, but have become an avid user much more recently. For sharing information with my students Recently, there was a landslide in my area which blocked the roads and kept students from school for several weeks. I put everything my students might need to access —worksheets, articles, and labs — into a Shared Notebook that they can access through a link or via Moodle, a service that our school district has integrated.I have a Scanscap scanner, which I use to shoot worksheets straight into Evernote. My plan is pretty simple, use Evernote to share all of my class notes and reading with the students. I have spend the past few days compiling all of the resources I have used in my class for my Honors American Literature, Traditional American Literature and Freshmen English. I created four Notebooks for each class; Assignments, Notes, Handouts and Stories. This process was a long and tedious one, but I have these notes FOREVER. This would be an awesome experiment, but it's not quite epic. I'm really excited about the possibilities of creating this environment for my students.
