Apple recently introduced iBooks Author in a live presentation at the Guggenheim in New York. Apple modifica la licencia de usuario de iBooks Author para redistribuir el contenido en cualquier otro medio | iDAMovil

Apple acaba de actualizar la licencia de usuario final para iBooks Author (EULA) con la principal novedad de permitir finalmente a los usuarios redistribuir el contenido de los libros en cualquier otro medio, esto significa que un libro de texto presentado en iBookStore no será exclusivo de esta tienda, como hasta ahora se reflejaba en la anterior licencia. Apple actualizó el mes pasado iBooks y lanzó la aplicación de iBook Author como un servicio para permitir publicaciones de libros de texto a autores. Desde el primer momento ha creado controversia ya que los editores entendían que se limitaban finalmente a dispositivos de Apple para ofrecer su contenido. En un principio, Apple pretendía reclamar derechos sobre los contenidos de los libros aunque con esta actualización desaparece la limitación de tener los libros de texto en cualquier otro formato digital.
