If PT1.0 dies here it will be reborn somewhere else. Trees are resilient, their seeds can spread through the wind or through the intestines of animals and take root in the smallest amount of soil. They will not be conquered by bulldozers, They will sprout up through the fences and the lawns. They will remind us that by conquering nature with a monolithic grid of roads and pavement that we are only conquering our self, and that nature will rise up and persevere with our without man. The tree is a symbol that something else exists outside the monotony of “the same”. The mass replication of so called commercial culture cannot replace completely that which is organic and that which cannot be comodified.
By enforcing a grid upon our forest city of pearls all that gave it character will be destroyed. The monoculture will become a feeding ground for the pests of trolls and spam. The tree-like structures that are torn down will not be a substitute for the real trees that it replaced.
